Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) has imposed the regular registration license tax (license portion).

The registration license tax (license portion) is levied annually as of January 1 on holders of taxable licenses registered with local or external licensing authorities. Taxable licenses include ▲restaurants ▲hospitals ▲academies ▲telemarketing businesses, among others.

The registration license tax (license portion) varies by license type, ranging from 18,000 KRW to 67,500 KRW, and the tax payment period for this year is until January 31. However, if payment is made after the deadline, an additional 3% surcharge will be applied.

Additionally, in the case of business closure, it is necessary to report license cancellation not only to the tax office but also to the licensing authority to be exempt from the obligation to pay the regular registration license tax, so caution is advised.

A district official stated, “We ask residents to use various methods to pay the registration license tax (license portion) within the deadline to avoid disadvantages due to delinquency,” and added, “We will continue to do our best for fair and transparent tax administration.”
