MyRealTrip Secures 75.6 Billion KRW Investment from Global Investors

200 Billion KRW Raised Since the Pandemic

MyRealTrip, a travel app operator, announced on the 19th that it has raised a total of 75.6 billion KRW in investments from domestic and international investors. This round of investment included global investors such as BRV Capital Management, France's Korelya Capital, Patek Partners, and Vanderbilt University in the United States, as well as domestic investors SV Investment and Samsung Securities. Additionally, existing shareholders including IMM Investment, Altos Ventures, and Smilegate Investment also made consecutive investments. Notably, this is Korelya Capital's first investment case in Korea.

With this funding secured, MyRealTrip plans to strengthen its existing 'super app strategy' while focusing on new businesses such as package services and business-to-business (B2B) sales. Furthermore, MyRealTrip is currently negotiating with additional investors, and the amount raised in this round is expected to increase.

Since the pandemic, MyRealTrip has raised approximately 200 billion KRW, gaining recognition for its future value and business potential in the capital market. After surpassing the monthly break-even point (BEP) last summer, it recorded an annual transaction volume of 1 trillion KRW, and it is expected to achieve a record-high transaction volume and revenue of 140 billion KRW in January this year.

Last year, based on a transaction volume of about 1 trillion KRW, MyRealTrip also achieved strong results in the airline and accommodation sectors. According to the Airline Passenger Sales Settlement System (BSP), it ranked third overall in airline ticket reservations, and it was selected as one of Forbes Asia’s ‘100 Companies to Watch in 2023,’ drawing attention in the global market as well.
