Hamyang-gun Conducts Fire Prevention Safety Inspections at Hamyang Funeral Hall and Others

Joint Inspection with County Office and Fire Station

Hamyang County in Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that it conducted safety inspections of the Hamyang Funeral Hall and the Hamyang County Daycare Center for the Visually Impaired to prevent winter fires.


This joint safety inspection was carried out by related county departments including Deputy County Governor Seo Chang-woo, the Safety City Division, the Social Welfare Division, and the Elderly Welfare Division, along with the Hamyang Fire Station, as nationwide fire incidents continue to occur, and there is a high risk of large-scale casualties and property damage in the event of fires in densely populated facilities.

Hamyang-gun Conducts Fire Prevention Safety Inspections at Hamyang Funeral Hall and Others Seo Chang-woo, the deputy governor, is conducting a safety inspection of fire-vulnerable facilities during the winter season.

The inspection focused on checking whether fire-prone facilities’ firefighting equipment was functioning properly, whether there were any abnormalities in evacuation-related equipment, and the safe use of heating facilities.


Additionally, they confirmed the presence of fire extinguishers and whether users were familiar with their operation methods to ensure prompt initial response in case of fire, and requested cooperation in fire prevention by regularly inspecting circuit breakers at least once a month.


Deputy County Governor Seo said, “Hamyang County will do its best to prevent fires so that residents can have a safe winter. We also hope that residents will take a moment to look around their surroundings and join us in fire prevention.”


Meanwhile, Hamyang County plans to continue joint inspections of densely populated facilities such as traditional markets and terminals ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
