The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced on the 18th that it held an inauguration ceremony for the new president, Lee Sang-jung, at its headquarters in Naju, Jeollanam-do.

President Lee is a cyber investigation expert who previously served as the head of the Internet Crime Investigation Team at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, director of the Cyber Investigation Division at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, and head of the Internet Crime Investigation Center at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office. Since May last year, he has been leading research on information protection and cybersecurity as the director of the Cybersecurity Research Institute established as an affiliated institution of Gumi University.
In his inaugural speech, President Lee stated, "As KISA's role is crucial in creating a cyber environment where citizens and businesses can feel secure and in realizing a digitally safe nation, I will devote all efforts to strengthening our capabilities."
