Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Donghoon Lee) announced on the 18th that it will showcase lab-grown diamonds at ‘Diammi,’ a diamond specialty brand located on the 3rd floor of the main building, in response to the growing interest in lab-grown diamonds.

‘Diammi’ is a fine jewelry brand specializing in diamond jewelry, pursuing a classic beauty with over 30 years of history and modern delicacy.

Through this exclusive promotional event, Gwangju Shinsegae will offer limited sales of Diammi lab-grown diamonds. The representative products are Diammi lab-grown diamonds 2 carats (loose stone) priced at 4.1 million KRW (limited to 5 pieces) and 3 carats (loose stone) priced at 7.5 million KRW (limited to 2 pieces).

Lab-grown diamonds are the result of cutting-edge technology and science that produce diamonds physically, chemically, and optically identical to natural diamonds.

They are called lab-grown diamonds, a term combining ‘lab’ meaning laboratory and ‘grown’ meaning cultivated. These cultured diamonds are created by growing natural diamond seeds in a laboratory using technology without the mining process.
