Delivery Food Anxiety?...Gwangjin-gu Offers Benefits to Delivery Restaurants That Open Their Kitchens to the Public Participating Establishments with Open Kitchens

As the demand for delivery food rapidly increases, many residents are anxious because there is no way to check the hygiene status of restaurant kitchens. Especially in Gwangjin-gu, where there are many single-person households, more meticulous management is required due to the high volume of delivery orders.

Accordingly, Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is recruiting 'Delivery Restaurant Kitchen Disclosure Participating Businesses' to create a safe and clean food culture.

The recruitment target is delivery-focused restaurants located within the district.

Participating businesses in the kitchen disclosure program will receive support such as business-use volume-based waste bags worth about 300,000 KRW annually or hygiene supplies. They will also be promoted through Achasan Echo, social networking services (SNS), and unmanned kiosks on the Taste Street.

Especially this year, a special benefit of displaying medals or badges on the Gwangjin-type public delivery app 'Ttaenggyeoyo' will be provided.

Businesses wishing to participate can fill out an application form and submit it by visiting the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center's Health and Hygiene Division, or via email or fax. They can also apply easily by phone.

Since its launch in 2022, 32 businesses have participated in the delivery restaurant kitchen disclosure project, and they are publicly listed on the Gwangjin-gu website.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We aim to reduce residents’ anxiety and increase trust by transparently disclosing the hygiene status of delivery restaurants, which are difficult to check directly. We ask many businesses to participate and join in creating a safe and clean food environment.”
