Gwangjin-gu Supports Youth with 100,000 KRW for Language and Certification Exam Fees

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is providing support for language and certification exam fees to help reduce the economic burden on young people, offer career development opportunities, and assist with job preparation.

Any resident of Gwangjin-gu aged between 19 and 39 who has been registered in the district for more than one month can apply. This year, support of up to 100,000 KRW per individual is available for those taking ▲language exams ▲certification exams under the Enforcement Rules of the National Technical Qualifications Act ▲and the Korean History Proficiency Test.

The application period is from the 1st to the 20th of each month, with a goal to support 1,000 applicants until the budget is exhausted. Selected applicants are notified on the 25th of each month, and the funds are deposited into their personal accounts by the end of the month. Priority is given to recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security and low-income groups.

Applicants should submit the required documents, including the application form, exam attendance confirmation, receipt, resident registration certificate, and a copy of their bankbook, either via email to the person in charge or by visiting in person. Necessary documents can be checked on the Gwangjin-gu Office website, and for further inquiries, contact the Gwangjin-gu Office Youth Employment Division.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, stated, “We have established this certification exam fee support program to help young people with self-development and employment support, and we hope many residents will show interest and participate. We will continue to devote all our efforts to discovering and supporting policies that provide practical help for the happy future of our youth.”
