The Love Temperature in Gwangju and Jeonnam is showing contrasting results between the lowest and highest temperatures.
According to the Gwangju-Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea on the 14th, donations collected for the 'Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign' in the Gwangju area amounted to 4.477 billion KRW as of the 1st.
This is a low figure at 87.6% of this year's target amount of 5.07 billion KRW, and it is also below last year's 92.3% on the same date.
On the other hand, in the Jeonnam area, donations totaling 10.763 billion KRW have been collected, achieving the Love Temperature of 102.3 degrees ahead of schedule. The target amount is 10.55 billion KRW.
The Love Temperature Tower rises by 1 degree for every 1% of the target amount collected.
A representative from the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea said, "At the end of the year and New Year, many people’s interest and participation in sharing are urgently needed for social welfare sites and neighbors in need of care where difficulties are increasing" and asked for warm interest and participation until the campaign ends on the 31st of this month."
