On-site Inspection at Holtong Beach and Others... Urging Prevention of Coastal Safety Accidents
On the 16th, Kwon Oh-seong, Chief of the Mokpo Maritime Police Station, visited the security sites around Jido-eup, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, to inspect various situations and listen to opinions.
According to Mokpo Maritime Police on the 17th, Chief Kwon first visited the Jido Police Substation, checked the status and management of substation facilities and lifesaving equipment related to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, encouraged the staff for their hard work, and listened to their difficulties and opinions.

He then moved to Holtong Beach in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, a coastal accident risk area and vulnerable sea area, inspected safety management facilities such as lifesaving equipment boxes, and took thorough measures to prevent coastal safety accidents.
Chief Kwon said, “We plan to strengthen proactive coastal safety management, including inspection of lifesaving equipment, to create a safer coast,” and added, “I hope the substation will also analyze security issues in the jurisdiction independently on-site and actively work to resolve them.”
The Mokpo Maritime Police Jido Police Substation is located at Songdo Port, Jido-eup, Sinan-gun, Jeollanam-do, and performs flawless maritime safety and security duties such as coastal safety management and management of incoming and outgoing vessels.
