A story has sparked controversy after a person who used coupons they had collected over time at their regular Chinese restaurant to order food including chili shrimp claimed it was 'absurd.'

On the 17th, a post titled "35,000 Won Chili Shrimp" was uploaded to an online community and gained attention. The author, Mr. A, said, "I heard that the owner of my regular Chinese restaurant, except for the chef, has changed. But I was told that they offer coupon services for a year. I exchanged coupons for free service twice during that time, and since I am such a regular customer, I kept collecting coupons and ended up with 48 of them."
Mr. A said, "I paid by card for chili shrimp, fried rice, and spicy jjambbong, and called to order to exchange 40 coupons for sweet and sour pork." He added, "But when the delivery arrived, I thought there were two orders of sweet and sour pork. I've never seen chili shrimp look like that." According to the receipt, Mr. A purchased ▲ chili shrimp (35,000 won) ▲ spicy jjambbong (9,000 won) ▲ fried rice (8,000 won) ▲ two bottles of soju (4,000 won). The sweet and sour pork from the coupon service was not included on the receipt.
The chili shrimp in the photo Mr. A posted had a thick batter coating, and when broken open, small cocktail shrimp were inside. The total number of shrimp tempura pieces was only about 17.
Mr. A said, "It's the first time I've seen chili shrimp served with sauce separately. Moreover, it was fried with tiny cocktail shrimp." He added, "Since it wasn't an app order, I can't even write a review. It was a waste of money."
Netizens who read the story responded with comments such as, "They lost a regular customer," "It looks like they hurriedly made it with the shrimp used in Samseon Jjajang," "You can really tell the owner is bad at running the business," "If they don't have large shrimp in stock, they shouldn't accept orders," and "I never knew there was a place that uses the smallest cocktail shrimp for chili shrimp."
