Top Reservations: 'Buvette Seoul', 'The Buffet at InterContinental'
Longest Wait Times: 'London Bagel Museum', 'Ijaemo Pizza', 'Noted'
Catch Table, operated by Ward, a specialized integrated solution company for the dining industry, revealed on the 17th the rankings of the most popular restaurants in 2023 in the categories of reservations, waiting, saved restaurants, corkage-free, and most reviews.
The restaurant with the highest number of reservations was Buvette Seoul. Known as a New York brunch spot, Buvette Seoul is the sixth American-style French brunch restaurant to open worldwide, following London, Paris, Tokyo, and others, continuing its craze in Korea. Following it were The Buffet at InterContinental Seoul in 2nd place, Westin Chosun Seoul Aria in 3rd, Osteria Orzo in 4th, and Kitchen Maillard in 5th.
Most waiting lists were dominated by popular cafes and bakery brands. The top spot went to London Bagel Museum, a bagel specialty store that was so popular last year that people lined up even during the opening rush. In 2nd place was Lee Jae-mo Pizza, 3rd was Noted, 4th was Jamae Noodles, and 5th was Blue Bottle Yeouido branch.
The most saved restaurant in the saved restaurants feature was Hanumul, a Korean beef omakase restaurant located in Itaewon. 2nd place was Aruhi Niwa, 3rd Osteria Orzo, 4th Confiere, and 5th Isokuhwa. The restaurant with the most customer visit reviews was the high-end burger brand Gordon Ramsay Burger Lotte World Mall branch in 1st place, followed by Sushi Sora Seocho branch in 2nd, Low & Slow in 3rd, Kitchen Maillard in 4th, and Sushi Daon in 5th.
The corkage-free culture, where customers bring their favorite wine to enjoy at the restaurant, also expanded significantly this year. The place that received the best response for this service was Isokuhwa Cheonggong, famous for Korean beef omakase, and other notable restaurants for corkage-free included Vinolic, Isokuhwa, Umok, and Gouga Yeouido branch.
