Floor Leader Yoon stated, "This year marks the beginning of the era of 10 million elderly people, and we are on the verge of becoming a super-aged society with over 20% of the population aged 65 or older. It is a major task to improve the quality of life for seniors and to build a system that harnesses their accumulated experience and wisdom as a driving force for social development, thereby increasing our country's productivity and vitality."

He added, "At this meeting, we will prioritize the most necessary support measures and thoroughly identify the inconveniences that seniors face in their daily lives to reflect them in our policies."

Policy Committee Chairman Yoo said, "We will expand and enhance life-oriented policies that seniors can directly feel. Since the general election is approaching, we will provide specific individual details through our pledges."
