Daegu Chamber of Commerce Unveils 'Digital Entrepreneur Museum'... Featuring Son Ki-chang, Lee Hae-jun, Jin Woo-seok, Lee Yoon-seok, Hong Jae-sun

The Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Lee Jae-ha) unveiled the "Daegu Digital Entrepreneur Museum" on the 17th, archiving local entrepreneurs who have been the foundation of Daegu's economy.

The Daegu Digital Entrepreneur Museum is a preliminary project of the "Daegu Entrepreneur Museum" initiative, a long-term project led by the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry to reexamine the life stories of local business founders and enhance entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of businesses. Since last year, it has collected materials related to local companies and organized them into digital resources on a website.

The first five entrepreneurs to be featured in the Daegu Digital Entrepreneur Museum are Son Ki-chang of Gyeongchang Industry, Lee Hae-jun of SL, Jin Woo-seok of Samik THK, Lee Yoon-seok of Hwaseong Industry, and Hong Jae-seon (Honorary Chairman) of BSG. They were selected through an entrepreneur selection committee based on having over 50 years of business experience and currently operating primarily in the Daegu area, considering factors such as corporate brand power and contributions to the local community.

The Digital Entrepreneur Museum consists of five sections: Entrepreneurial Spirit, Company History, Representative Technologies and Products, Together with Daegu, and ESG Social Contribution. It includes video archives of the founders' entrepreneurial spirit and management principles, as well as a comprehensive history of Daegu's industry.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit section contains the company's founding story and the founder's management philosophy, while the Company History section presents the company's journey through graphic videos for easy viewing.

Additionally, the "Together with Daegu" section introduces local companies that have a significant impact on the regional industry and economy but are not commonly experienced by citizens, featuring drone footage of the companies' headquarters and factories.

Lee Jae-ha, Chairman of the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated, "In addition to the five entrepreneurs selected this time, we plan to sequentially select and introduce individuals who have led the local economy in the same era to the public. We expect that widely promoting local companies with long histories that actively continue management and provide good jobs will enhance regional pride and help spread a pro-business culture."
