Asset Plus Asset Management announced on the 16th the launch of a new active ETF product, the ‘China Ilteunggi Focus10 Active ETF,’ which makes concentrated investments in China’s core top-tier companies.
This is the first China-listed equity public offering fund (active ETF) introduced in 16 years since the launch of the China Rich Together Equity Public Fund in July 2008.
An Asset Plus representative stated, "The ‘China Ilteunggi Focus10 Active ETF’ focuses on China’s growth potential and invests intensively in about 10 top-tier companies with strong competitiveness in the market. The fund aims to pursue differentiated returns by investing in core top-tier companies that will greatly benefit from the disruptive restructuring process China has been undergoing in recent years."
Ko Tae-hoon, the head of the fund management team, explained, "The Chinese stock market, which has been going through a dark tunnel in recent years, will soon see a time of reward. The fund to be launched this time will include companies that will be the protagonists of that celebration, and we expect good results if investors join with patience."
He continued, "The companies this fund focuses on are core top-tier companies that have expanded market share and maximized corporate profits with strong competitiveness through China’s high-growth period. In the economic structure shifting from government-led growth to private consumption-centered growth, companies leading competitive growth will be partners of this fund."
Asset Plus emphasizes safety as the greatest advantage of the ‘China Ilteunggi Focus10 Active ETF.’ Since it invests mainly in top-tier companies, the overall investment risks such as credit risk, liquidity risk, and valuation risk are very low.
Meanwhile, Asset Plus Asset Management established a research corporation in Shanghai, China, in 2004, and local staff have been consistently providing research support for Chinese stocks for over 20 years. The China Rich Together Equity Fund, established on July 7, 2008, has recorded excellent long-term performance, ranking in the top 1% among comparable funds over 16 years since its inception.
The benchmark for the ‘China Ilteunggi Focus10 Active ETF’ is MSCI China, and it is available for investment through the Korea Exchange starting today.
