Nutrasemantics Changes Name to Lifeutical... "Full-Scale Entry into Pharmaceutical and Bio Business"

Life Semantics announced on the 16th that its subsidiary Nutra Semantics has officially entered the pharmaceutical and bio business, prompting a name change to Lifeuticals.

The new name is a compound of 'Life,' meaning life, and 'Pharmaceutical,' meaning medicine. It signifies not only health management from a preventive perspective but also encompasses the entire treatment process of life, emphasizing the connection with the parent company Life Semantics.

Lifeuticals secured raw material pharmaceutical production capabilities last November by acquiring the antibiotic and immunosuppressant divisions of Ceres FND, a subsidiary of Alteogen. Currently, based on high technological expertise such as patented high-yield strain development and fermentation technology, high-purity purification processes, biosynthesis technology, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification, it produces the antibiotics 'Vancomycin' and 'Teicoplanin,' and the immunosuppressant 'Tacrolimus.' It is also preparing to produce the breast cancer and kidney cancer anticancer drug 'Everolimus.' The company is preparing for global expansion through raw material supply contracts with overseas finished pharmaceutical manufacturers in countries such as Japan and India.
