Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon caught attention by posting news that he is busy preparing for the forum while having ramen for breakfast in Davos, Switzerland, after traveling 10,000 km.
On the 15th, Governor Kim introduced on his social media service (SNS), "The long journey for the Davos Forum from Suwon-Incheon-Paris-Zurich-Davos covered about 10,000 km in 3 days and 1 night." Traveling 10,000 km is equivalent to one quarter of the Earth's circumference (40,000 km).
He added, "The local time is 6 a.m., and I am relieving my hunger with ramen while preparing for the full-scale Davos Forum schedule soon to begin," expressing confidence by saying, "I will do well at this Davos Forum."
Governor Kim departed on the 13th to attend the Davos Forum (World Economic Forum, WEF). At the time of departure, he attracted attention by wearing a memorial badge for the Itaewon tragedy victims.
At this Davos Forum, Governor Kim plans to discuss practical cooperation plans between Gyeonggi Province and world leaders, and engage in negotiations with global companies to attract investments, aiming to achieve his campaign pledge of attracting investments exceeding 100 trillion won, among other busy schedules.
The Davos Forum is the largest brainstorming meeting where prominent global businesspeople, economists, and politicians gather to discuss economic issues and seek international action plans.
Especially this year, the event will be held on the largest scale ever, with over 3,000 participants including 60 heads of state and 370 ministers. Governor Kim Dong-yeon is the only domestic local government head invited to this forum.
