Eup and Myeon Offices Jurisdictional to Address Until February 29

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it is accepting applications for the 2024 Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher Support Project from January 2 to February 29.

The Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher Support Project is a program by Jeollanam-do and city/gun governments aimed at improving the quality of life by providing cultural activity opportunities to women farmers and fishermen in rural areas with poor cultural conditions.

After verifying eligibility in March and conducting a review, Gurye-gun plans to issue Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher cards worth 200,000 KRW to the recipients starting in April.

Applicants must be farm or fishery business owners who have registered their management information, registered their business before January 1, 2023, have an address in Jeollanam-do, and are actively engaged in farming or fishing.

However, those whose comprehensive income excluding farming and fishing in the year before last (2022) was 37 million KRW or more, those with full-time jobs or business registrations, children of farmers and fishermen currently enrolled in university or high school, and those receiving similar welfare services under other laws are excluded.

A county official stated, “We expect that the issuance of the Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher card will greatly help expand cultural opportunities for women farmers and fishermen and revitalize the local economy.” He added, “We will do our best to promote the project so that no eligible women farmers and fishermen miss the opportunity to apply.”

The Women Farmers and Fishermen Happiness Voucher card can be used in all industries except medical (hospitals, pharmacies), entertainment, and gambling sectors. Any unused card balance by the end of the year must be returned.
