Dongtan City Hospital Signs Business Agreement with Global Company GE Healthcare

On the 11th, Dongtan City Hospital signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GE Healthcare Korea Co., Ltd. at the 5th-floor conference room of Dongtan City Hospital, designating it as a partner hospital to promote mutual development and shared benefits.


The signing ceremony was attended by key hospital officials including Shin Jae-heung, Director of Dongtan City Hospital, Kim Mi-young, Administrative Director, and Lee Beom-young, Head of Radiology, as well as major representatives from GE Healthcare Korea Co., Ltd., including Executive Director Kim Yong-duk.


Under this agreement, GE Healthcare Korea Co., Ltd. will designate Dongtan City Hospital as a partner hospital and prioritize support and collaboration to ensure stable operation of equipment by maximizing the use of GE Digital solutions. They will provide equipment training through clinical staff visits on the latest usage techniques and protocols for GE Healthcare imaging equipment, regularly share information on industry trends and the latest technological advancements, and jointly host academic conferences, symposiums, and seminars.


The hospital will cooperate in responding to inquiries and feedback requests regarding products and services from potential customers, assist in lectures and case sharing at internal or customer-targeted events hosted by GE Healthcare, and collaborate internally and externally on site visits and user training to strengthen mutual operational systems.


Celebrating its 14th anniversary this year, Dongtan City Hospital has been a long-time user of GE Healthcare products and currently operates two MRI machines equipped with the ‘AIR Recon DL’ system, which provides deep learning reconstruction functions based on GE Healthcare’s latest AI technology. Last year, the hospital delivered lectures on the theme “Sharing AIRtm Recon DL Experiences” to GE Healthcare headquarters staff and also presented at the “MR Tech User Summit 2023” held in Busan, sharing clinical application cases and the practical needs of patients.


Kim Yong-duk, Executive Director of GE Healthcare Korea Co., Ltd., stated, “We are pleased to contribute to Dongtan City Hospital’s vision of providing the best medical services through the latest healthcare technologies with this partnership.” He added, “As a global meditech leader, GE Healthcare will continue to expand cooperation with domestic hospitals to provide better medical services and support improved outcomes for healthcare professionals and patients.”

Meanwhile, Dongtan City Hospital is a Ministry of Health and Welfare certified medical institution (2022.12.~2026.12.) and operates departments including spine and joint orthopedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, rehabilitation medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, radiology, anesthesiology and pain medicine, as well as a health screening center.
