Preventing Invisible Intrusions... Hanul Headquarters Establishes Wireless Intrusion Prevention System

Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Director Lee Seyong) has built an iron fortress to block invisible 'intruders.'

On the 15th, Hanul Headquarters announced that it will operate a strengthened information leakage prevention system by establishing a wireless intrusion prevention system.

This system was built to respond to new security threats arising from the increase in wireless communication devices by detecting and blocking unauthorized wireless network access in real time.

The wireless network environment is not connected by wires, raising concerns about the risk of information leakage through security policy bypass and security breaches. Hanul Headquarters plans to pilot the wireless intrusion prevention system in key areas of the headquarters and gradually expand the scope.

Director Lee Seyong said, “We will continue to eliminate security blind spots in unclear wireless environments and do our best to ensure the safe operation of nuclear power plants.”
