The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has implemented an innovative personnel reshuffle by advancing capable young leaders to department head positions to achieve key pledges aligned with the 8th term of the provincial government.
On the 14th, the agency announced that it prioritized work expertise and capability to revitalize the organization by actively appointing young leaders and female officers with expertise to major departments such as startup support, ESG, opportunity funds, investment attraction, and semiconductors.
In this personnel reshuffle, to build an innovative startup ecosystem, Lim Jong-bin, Director of Planning and Coordination Office, was appointed as Head of the Startup Division; to revitalize 2nd and 3rd Pangyo, Lee Jun-woo, Head of the Startup Division, was appointed as Head of the Techno Valley Innovation Division; and to strengthen corporate support capabilities through network cohesion of each city and county, Jeong Kwang-yong, Head of the Techno Valley Innovation Division, was appointed as Head of the Balanced Opportunity Division.
Additionally, to strengthen female leadership talent, Hong Ki-hwa, Team Leader of the Opportunity Fund Team, was promoted to Head of the G-Invest Promotion Team, a department head-level position; Son Chung-hyun, ESG Team Leader, was appointed as Head of the Startup Support Team; Jeong Won-jung, Head of the Semiconductor Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center, was appointed as Head of the AI Industry Team; Lee Hyung-gu, Deputy Manager of the Finance and Accounting Team, was appointed as Team Leader of the Opportunity Fund Team; and young female talent Kim Min-jung, Deputy Manager, was appointed as Team Leader of the Investment Attraction TF Team, among many other young officers appointed.
Furthermore, Deputy Manager Yeon Do-hyun of the Human Resources and General Affairs Team was appointed as Head of the Public Relations Office, and Cha Sang-hoon, Head of the Public Relations Office, was appointed as Head of the Safety Management Office.
Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency President Kang Seong-cheon explained, "To increase the implementation rate and completeness of the key pledges of the 8th term, we made bold appointments of suitable candidates with passion and ability based on the principle of ‘the right person in the right place’ (適材適所適人)."
He added, "By selecting outstanding female and young officers and strategically placing them in key departments, we will continuously secure growth momentum and make this year one that produces tangible results in implementing provincial government tasks."
Through this personnel reshuffle, the agency plans to lead the development of Gyeonggi-do by continuously renewing itself, promoting bold and speedy work execution, and achieving results that residents can feel through the implementation of the 8th term key pledges.
