Intense Robot Competition... Demanding Revolutionary Changes from Employees
Kim Dong-seon, Executive Vice President and Head of Strategy at Hanwha Robotics, visited CES 2024, the world's largest electronics and IT exhibition, as his first step in the new year to explore future industry strategies, Hanwha Group announced on the 14th.
This was the first time that Kim and other Hanwha Robotics officials visited the CES venue.
Kim, who oversees the discovery of future growth engines for Hanwha Robotics, examined booths of major domestic conglomerates as well as the K-Startup integrated pavilion operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development.

Kim focused particularly on the FoodTech booths, a fusion of food and technology. FoodTech combines advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), 3D printing, and robotics with the food industry and distribution sector.
Regarding the fierce competition in the robotics market, Kim recently urged his employees to implement groundbreaking changes, saying, "It is time to create new rules and frameworks, not follow the existing methods."
Following CES, Kim will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, to discuss global issues with key international figures. This is his second attendance following last year. This year’s forum, themed ‘Rebuilding Trust,’ will be held over five days from the 15th to the 19th (local time).

During the event, Kim plans to meet with political and business leaders, including CEOs of global companies, to exchange views on various topics such as overcoming the global economic crisis.
He will also meet with representatives of companies involved in future growth sectors, such as cultured meat, which has recently attracted attention. Additionally, he will explore key forum agendas including growth and job creation, as well as the utilization of artificial intelligence (AI).
