Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Employee Union Chair Park So-young Elected... "We Will Create the Best Workplace Nationwide"

In the election held on the 11th for the 11th term Chairperson of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Employees' Union, candidate number 2, Park So-young (45), and Secretary-General candidate Kim Gyu-hong (43) were elected with 58% of the total votes.

Park So-young, the elected chairperson of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Employees' Union (right), is posing for a commemorative photo with Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk (center), and Kim Gyu-hong, the elected general secretary of the union, while holding a congratulatory bouquet.

Park So-young and Kim Gyu-hong expressed their aspirations, stating, "We will actively develop union policies unique to Gyeongbuk Province, without relying solely on national policies, to address numerous issues within the organization such as poor public servant salaries and rigid organizational culture, making it the best workplace nationwide and enhancing pride as Gyeongbuk Provincial Government employees."

Previously serving as the Secretary-General of the 10th term Gyeongbuk Provincial Government Employees' Union, Park So-young, elected as the 11th term Chairperson, became the first female chairperson in the union's history.

They began their two-year term on February 1.
