Wemade to Globally Launch P2E 'Night Crow' in March
Game Tokens Exchangeable for WEMIX Tokens... Tradable on Bithumb and Others
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the listing of 11 Bitcoin spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs), drawing attention to Wemade's own blockchain mainnet, WEMIX 3.0. With the increased likelihood of blockchain and virtual asset institutionalization, expectations are rising for the upcoming P2E (play-to-earn) game, Night Crow Global.
According to industry sources on the 15th, Wemade is working towards the launch of Night Crow Global, targeting March. Inside Wemade, there is an assessment that following the popularity of the previously announced P2E game MIR4 Global, which surpassed one million concurrent users, Night Crow Global also has a high chance of success. This is because MIR4 Global was already proven profitable, having ranked first in sales on the Google Play Store at its domestic release in April last year, and the integration of virtual assets into the institutional framework is seen as a positive factor.
The company believes that the SEC's approval of Bitcoin spot ETFs, despite its previous negative stance on virtual assets, will serve as a catalyst for increased interest in the gaming industry utilizing virtual assets and blockchain technology, especially P2E games.
Efforts to revitalize the blockchain ecosystem have also gained momentum. Wemade launched its own blockchain mainnet, WEMIX 3.0, in September 2022. Currently, the blockchain ecosystem is maintained through the blockchain game platform ‘WEMIX Play’, the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and non-fungible token (NFT) platform ‘Nile’, and the decentralized finance (DeFi) platform ‘WEMIX FI’.
Night Crow Global is scheduled to be released through WEMIX Play and will be linked with the WEMIX 3.0 ecosystem. The Crow token, which serves as the base currency within Night Crow Global, can also be exchanged for the WEMIX token, the base currency of WEMIX 3.0, via virtual asset exchanges. The WEMIX token is listed on major domestic exchanges such as Bithumb, Coinone, and GOPAX.
A Wemade official stated, "The important point is that virtual assets have entered the institutional framework due to the SEC's decision in the U.S. We plan to proceed with business within the permitted scope as this process continues and guidelines emerge."
Work to activate and stably operate WEMIX 3.0 is also ongoing. Recently, Wemade added Ubisoft, a global game company, to the 40 Wonders, the node council partners of WEMIX 3.0. Node council partners participate in transactions and block verification on the blockchain mainnet and can take part in major decision-making. Ubisoft, headquartered in France, owns numerous global game intellectual properties (IPs) such as Assassin's Creed and Just Dance. Wemade plans to continue adding partners until the number of node council partners increases from the current 23 to 40.
