The golf membership market at the beginning of the year continues its upward trend due to an influx of buying interest.

On the 13th, Dong-A Membership Trading Center announced that the average price of 100 major memberships nationwide is 251.33 million KRW. This is a slight increase of 0.07% compared to last week. By price range, the ultra-high price segment rose by 0.01%, high price segment by 0.10%, mid-price segment by 0.22%, and low price segment by 0.05%. Although many golf courses have closed for the winter, golfers are purchasing memberships in anticipation of the spring season. Dong-A Membership Trading Center analyzed, "While differentiation by category has formed, the market is facing a shortage of listings," and added, "Prices are expected to continue rising for the time being."


The average price in the central region is 285.54 million KRW, up 0.05% from last week. Transactions increased for 88 and Giheung, rising 0.35% and 0.75% respectively. Seo Seoul, riding the buying trend, jumped 1.15%, and Castlelex rose 1.20%. Jeil increased by 0.90%, Taekwang by 0.62%, and Solmoro by 1.10%. Team leader Park Cheon-ju forecasted, "The membership market will continue to show an upward trend at the beginning of the year."


The average price in the southern region is 162.79 million KRW, up 0.20% compared to last week. Gaya jumped 1.76% due to increased buying orders. Busan also rose 1.41% with active buying interest. Dongnae Benest saw a slight increase of 0.58% amid intense negotiation between sellers and buyers. High-priced memberships such as Asiad, Bora, and Bayside are in short supply. Team leader Lee Yun-hee stated, "Inquiries about membership transactions in the southern region are increasing," and added, "The market is expected to maintain a firm upward trend for a while."
