January 27 Special Lecture by Current Teachers... Introduction to Subject-Specific Learning Strategies and Effective Study Methods
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced that it will hold a "2024 New Semester Subject-Specific Study Method Special Lecture" at the Dongjak Admission Support Center on the 27th.
This special lecture is organized to help students and parents successfully plan their academic advancement during the winter vacation in preparation for the new school year.
Three active teachers have been invited to share effective study methods with students under the theme of "Subject-Specific Learning Strategies and Efficient Study Methods for Korean, English, and Math."
The lectures will be held from 1 PM in the program room on the 4th floor of the Dongjak Admission Support Center (19, Sindaebang 1-da-gil) in the following order: Korean by Teacher Lee Seong-won from Cheongwon Girls' High School (1st session), English by Teacher Kang Seong-gu from Munil High School (2nd session), and Math by Teacher Kim In-su from Sungui Girls' High School (3rd session), each lasting one hour.
Each lecture will accept about 40 participants, totaling 120 on a first-come, first-served basis. Prospective high school students (grades 1 to 3), out-of-school youth, and parents in the area are all welcome to participate.
Residents wishing to attend can apply online through the Dongjak-gu Office website by January 26, and the application results will be individually notified via text message.
Additionally, to respond to the changing curriculum and admission processes, the district opened the Dongjak Admission Support Center in May last year and operates "1:1 Customized Admission Counseling" year-round.
Active teachers belonging to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's University Admission Guidance Support Group provide accurate career and admission information based on academic performance data to local residents, enrolled students, and parents.
In a satisfaction survey conducted last year on the 1:1 customized admission counseling, 100% of respondents rated it as "satisfied or above," receiving high praise from students and parents.
Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, "I hope this special lecture will serve as a guide for students and parents preparing for the new semester to establish successful admission strategies," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide diverse and vivid information on career and admission to students and parents."
