Namwon-si, Jeonbuk, is recruiting applicants until the 13th of next month for the ‘2024 First Half Year Return-to-Farming Agricultural Startup and Housing Purchase Support Project’ to help returnees to farming settle stably in agriculture and rural areas by providing agricultural startup and residential spaces.

According to the city on the 11th, the return-to-farming agricultural startup fund supports land purchase, greenhouse and livestock barn construction, etc., for establishing foundations in the crop and livestock sectors, with a limit of up to 300 million KRW per household.
The housing purchase fund offers support up to 75 million KRW per household for housing purchase and new construction, with a loan interest rate of 1.5% per annum (5 years grace period, 10 years repayment).
Applicants must be household heads aged 65 or younger as of the application year, who have continuously lived outside rural areas for more than one year and moved into rural areas within the last five years, or non-agricultural residents living in rural areas without farming experience within five years. Additionally, applicants must have completed at least 100 hours of return-to-farming and farming education.
The city plans to select candidates through in-depth interviews based on evaluation criteria such as the appropriateness and feasibility of the business plan, motivation for farming settlement, and adequacy of the loan repayment plan.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the administrative welfare center of the applicant’s jurisdictional eup, myeon, or dong with the application form, business plan, and related documents.
