Ahn Jong-ju, Director of the Public Corporation, Visits Hanwha Ocean
Self-Discipline Prevention System and Safety and Health Inspection
On the afternoon of the 11th, An Jong-ju, Chairman of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA), visited a leading shipbuilding company in the Busan area to conduct "on-site management" duties.
The Busan Regional Headquarters of KOSHA (Head: Gong Heung-du) announced that on this day, the Chairman visited Hanwha Ocean Co., Ltd. to carry out on-site work.
Ahn Jong-ju, President of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (center), is visiting Hanwha Ocean on the 11th to conduct a safety inspection and talk with on-site workers.
Chairman An inspected the marine project construction process and then discussed key safety and health policies and current issues in the shipbuilding industry related to establishing a self-regulatory prevention system centered on risk assessment during a safety and health meeting.
He also emphasized collaboration with private companies as one of the directions for KOSHA's activities in 2024. KOSHA plans to sign safety culture agreements with regional shipbuilding companies in the first quarter.
Chairman An Jong-ju stated, “We will take the lead in preventing industrial accidents by intensively disseminating safety rules to the many foreign workers within the shipyards.”
