[CES 2024] Gu Ja-eun, LS Chairman, "We Will Prepare for the AI Storm"

Gu Ja-eun, Chairman of LS Group, visited the site of CES 2024, the world's largest consumer electronics and information technology (IT) exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, for three days from the 9th to the 11th.

On the first day, Chairman Gu first visited Eureka Park to observe innovative technologies from ventures and startups. On the following day, the 10th, he visited exhibition halls of leading domestic companies such as Doosan, HD Hyundai, LG, Samsung, and SK, as well as global advanced companies. Through this, he directly experienced various new technologies and products incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and sought new business opportunities utilizing them. Chairman Gu has attended CES annually since 2018, except during the COVID-19 period.

At this CES, Chairman Gu showed interest in various AI technologies, including human security tech, which is a major topic.

Chairman Gu said to the executives and employees who accompanied him, "When watching the movie Terminator, one might feel vague fear about how a future armed with AI and robots could bring great storms and winds." He added, "However, LS will establish and prepare a business system capable of responding sufficiently in the short term of 10 years and in the long term thereafter through various collaborations and technological innovations such as AI and software, no matter what stormy future comes."

He continued, "Let us develop LS's core technologies, which are the key to the ambidextrous management strategy, and new technologies represented by AI to create future innovative technologies unique to LS."
