The Industry-Academia-Government Cooperation Shared Collaboration Project is a program conducted by the LINC 3.0 project groups of Gyeongnam National University and Changwon National University, linked with Changwon City's support project for CES participating companies. It matches 10 students with exhibiting companies, providing pre-education such as booth operation since November last year, and supports activities such as product PR, B2B, and B2C global customer service at the integrated Korean pavilion's local company booths at the CES exhibition.

Before the meeting, the city signed an overseas investment attraction support MOU with M3 Global, a local investment firm, and medical bio sector participating companies MiracleAir, AI Biotics, and OceansBio at the KOTRA Integrated Korean Pavilion in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Subsequently, CTNS, a secondary battery pack manufacturing company, and Aptera, a U.S. electric vehicle startup, signed an MOU to establish a joint venture (JV) for entry into the U.S. battery pack and energy solutions market and to collaborate on joint technology development.

M3 Global, which signed the overseas investment attraction support MOU, is a U.S.-based accelerator (AC, a company that discovers and supports startups). Through this MOU, it plans to support the scale-up of our companies and assist in attracting investment in the U.S. market.

MiracleAir, which signed the MOU, is a medical device company established in 2022 developing an AI-based implant care solution called ‘Better I Care.’ Better I Care consists of an oral camera, chatbot, and AI app, and is a medical device that detects peri-implantitis and helps patients receive timely dental treatment.

AI Biotics, established in 2017, is a medical device company developing molecular diagnostic (PCR) equipment capable of on-site and multi-diagnosis. It allows easy on-site confirmation of disease infection and uses Multi Target detection technology to diagnose various pathogens simultaneously from a single specimen. It has attracted investments totaling 955 million KRW, including 200 million KRW from the city’s C-Blue Wing Fund No. 1, ‘Inlight No. 9 Next Unicorn Venture Fund.’

OceansBio, founded in 2018, is a medical device developer that has developed a transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (TaVNS) electronic medicine device. This device non-invasively stimulates the auricular branch of the vagus nerve through the ear to regulate the parasympathetic nervous system, effectively alleviating stress, depression, and other conditions.

Mayor Hong Nam-pyo stated, “Changwon City will continue to spare no support to ensure that local venture and startup companies successfully advance into the global market with differentiated technologies.”
