No.1 in the Fast Food Sector
Global chicken brand KFC won first place in the fast food category at the ‘2024 Korea First Brand Awards’ hosted by the Korea Consumer Forum.
Celebrating its 22nd anniversary this year, the Korea First Brand Awards is the largest brand award in the country, selecting promising brands to lead the year through consumer surveys.

KFC received the grand prize in the fast food category by earning higher scores compared to competitors in a survey conducted from November 6 to 19 last year, which involved approximately 190,000 consumers.
A KFC representative said, "KFC, which has captivated the tastes of not only domestic consumers but also people worldwide, offers the most delicious and freshest chicken menu with unwavering originality and a differentiated cooking method," adding, "In particular, we provide high-quality products by completing the process from breading to cooking handmade directly in the stores."
The original recipe and chicken cooking method, which are the unchanging standards of KFC’s taste, originated from KFC’s founder and symbol, Colonel Sanders. The recently launched and popular menu in Korea, the ‘Classic Zinger Tongdari (Burger),’ uses a whole chicken thigh patty seasoned with 11 secret spices developed by Colonel Sanders, and is praised for capturing both KFC’s originality and localized flavors.
Marking its 40th anniversary of entering the Korean market in 2024, KFC will actively expand its franchise business to increase accessibility so that more customers can experience KFC. To this end, in the second half of last year, KFC opened a new type of store called ‘Small Box (small store),’ which reduces store size and initial startup costs to lower the burden of new openings.
KFC Korea CEO Shin Hosang said, “We are pleased and honored to receive this meaningful award selected by domestic consumers in the year KFC Korea marks its 40th anniversary in Korea,” and added, “In 2024, we are preparing to expand franchise business and diverse marketing activities to increase customer touchpoints, so we ask for your continued interest.”
