Asian Games Gold Medalist Jang Yubin 'Nests at Shinhan Financial Group'

Competing with a Hat on the 16th at the Asian Tour QT
"I Will Repay the Active Support with Results"

Jang Yu-bin, the gold medalist in the team event at last year's Hangzhou Asian Games, has joined Shinhan Financial Group.

Jin Ok-dong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, is placing a hat on Jang Yu-bin at the sponsorship agreement ceremony.

On the 10th, Shinhan Financial Group announced, "We have signed a sponsorship contract with Jang Yu-bin." He will compete wearing a Shinhan Financial Group cap at the Asian Tour Qualifying Tournament (QT) Finals held in Thailand from the 16th to the 20th.

Jin Ok-dong, Chairman of Shinhan Financial Group, said, "We are pleased to sponsor Jang Yu-bin and sincerely welcome him," adding, "We will actively support him so that he can demonstrate his best skills in the future." Jang Yu-bin responded, "Thank you for believing in my potential and deciding to sponsor me," and said, "I will do my best to achieve good results."

Jang Yu-bin has been a promising player representing the national team since 2021. He stood out by winning the Korea Golf Association President's Cup Amateur Championship, the Songam Cup Amateur Golf Championship, and the World University Golf Championship in 2022. His victory at the Korea Golf Association President's Cup led to his selection as a representative for the Hangzhou Asian Games.

Due to the one-year postponement of the Asian Games caused by COVID-19, he delayed turning professional but achieved significant results in professional tournaments he entered last year through recommendations. He won twice on the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Srixon (2nd division) Tour and also claimed the title at the Korean Tour Gunsan CC Open in August. He participated in 12 tournaments and finished in the top 10 six times. After winning the men's golf team gold medal alongside Im Sung-jae, Kim Si-woo, and Cho Woo-young at the Hangzhou Asian Games, which ended in October last year, he turned professional.
