The district is focusing its administrative efforts on making the Changdong area a startup hub in the northeastern part of Seoul by prioritizing the creation of a startup ecosystem as a key policy of the 8th local government term.

To support local youth startups, the district has independently attracted the "Youth Employment Academy" to office space within 'Seed Cube Changdong', operating it as the largest in Seoul. Starting this year, it will operate the 'Dobong-gu Youth Startup Center' and establish a step-by-step support system that allows young people and startup companies to receive practical help from the early stages of startup to growth and expansion. Furthermore, among the nurtured startups, those with growth potential will be selected and supported to move into the "Seoul Startup Hub Changdong".

In addition, efforts will be made to attract young people from outside the area. Along with the supply of this 'job-linked support housing', the district plans to actively provide housing to support young people's independence and housing stability. Last year, 200 youth housing units were specially supplied within Seed Cube Changdong.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "We hope this 'job-linked support housing' will become a reliable home for young entrepreneurs and young musicians who are struggling to secure housing," and added, "The district will continue to make greater efforts to create a stable living environment for young people."
