Following the sensational popularity of 'Meoktaekkang' last year, cup noodles and potato chips infused with Meoktaek flavor are set to be released.

Nongshim announced on the 9th that it will launch ‘Meoktaekkang Keun Sabalmyeon’ and 'Potato Chip Meoktaek Cheongyang Mayo Flavor’. These products apply the unique savory and slightly spicy salty taste of Meoktaekkang, recognized as the top hit product in the food industry in 2023, to cup noodles and potato chips. Through collaboration with existing products, they offer a new way to enjoy the charm of Meoktaekkang.

Meoktaekkang Keun Sabalmyeon is a bibim (mixed) cup noodle featuring a sauce made from the main ingredient of Meoktaekkang, dried pollack, combined with mayonnaise and Cheongyang chili peppers, along with cabbage, Cheongyang chili-flavored toppings, and Meoktaek powder to enhance the umami flavor. A Nongshim representative said, "This is the first time we have introduced a ramen that reinterprets the taste of an existing snack," adding, "We plan to actively consider cross-category collaborations to provide new and diverse experiences in the future."

Potato Chip Meoktaek Cheongyang Mayo Flavor combines the crispy texture of potato chips with the spicy and tangy taste of Meoktaek Cheongyang mayo. Nongshim plans to continue the legacy of Meoktaekkang, which pioneered the ‘adult snack’ category, by pairing the familiar beer snack potato chips with Meoktaek Cheongyang mayo.

Nongshim has been actively engaged in collaborative activities for brand refreshment, mainly focusing on snacks. Nongshim has previously introduced collaboration products with famous franchises such as Potato Chip Yeopddeok Original Flavor and Jackson Pepperoni Flavor, as well as collaborations with its own ramen products like Jjolbyeong Snack Anseongtangmyun Flavor and Chapagetti Flavor.

Nongshim Potato Chip Meoktaek Cheongyang Mayo Flavor will be sold sequentially nationwide starting from large supermarkets on the 15th. Meoktaekkang Keun Sabalmyeon will be available nationwide starting from convenience stores, large supermarkets, and e-commerce platforms on the 22nd.
