GreenPlus Secures Smart Farm Management and Operation Project Contract

Greenplus is set to actively expand its business scope beyond smart farm construction to include management and operation.

Greenplus, a smart farm specialist company, announced on the 8th that it has successfully won a 2.5 billion KRW contract for the "Advanced Smart Agricultural Complex Facility Management and Operation Project" commissioned by Gangwon Province.

While the existing smart farm construction business resulted in one-time sales, this contract represents a new business model generating continuous annual revenue. Through this, Greenplus has proven its capability as a 'total smart farm service company.' It is expected to generate an additional fixed annual income of 10 billion KRW.

With years of experience in large-scale smart farm operations and unique operational know-how, Greenplus plans to meet the enormous demand by establishing a professional and systematic system including turnkey maintenance operations (total operation), marketing, and cultivation consulting services.

In particular, global demand for smart farms is rapidly increasing around the equatorial belt. Providing total operation solutions like this project is essential for future large-scale overseas smart farm design and construction achievements. Greenplus plans to hire about 100 talents related to operation business. This will serve as a foothold for expanding smart farm education projects into developing countries.

Through this contract, Greenplus will perform greenhouse operation, cultivation consulting, facility maintenance, and marketing support at the leased smart farm (Building A 2.53ha, Building B 0.97ha, and auxiliary facilities) located within the advanced smart agricultural complex in Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon Province, until the end of 2028. Specifically, it will provide comprehensive management and operation services including maintenance of leased greenhouses and auxiliary facilities, nutrient supply systems, electric boilers, low-temperature storage, as well as crop production, distribution, education, and mentoring for young smart farm tenants.

A Greenplus official stated, "In December last year alone, we achieved new smart farm orders worth 27 billion KRW, and exports to Japan this year are expected to exceed 10 billion KRW. We are actively pursuing overseas smart farm orders, anticipating a significant increase in sales," adding, "With this contract, we have secured not only one-time smart farm construction but also the smart farm management and operation market, making this year one to capture both sales and profit margins."
