Jeongeup-si, Promotion of Win-Win Jobs and Local Community Job Projects

Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do is promoting the 2024 Phase 1 Win-Win Job Creation Project and the first half regional community job project to create jobs for low-income vulnerable groups.


According to the city on the 8th, this project aims to discover customized public jobs suited to local conditions and provide temporary employment to vulnerable groups in employment to help stabilize their livelihoods.

To promote the Phase 1 Win-Win Job Creation Project, the city identified public sector jobs in 103 projects and recruited workers from December 4 to 8 last year targeting vulnerable groups who have difficulty entering private sector jobs.


During the recruitment period, a total of about 277 people applied, and among them, 157 were finally selected based on selection criteria such as household income, number of dependents, participation frequency, and assets, and were assigned to 103 workplaces.


The job fields include ▲administrative support ▲civil service support ▲public facility environmental maintenance ▲urban park environmental maintenance, among others.


Participants will work for 67 days from the 8th to April 12.


The first half regional community job project will be conducted from next month until June, recruiting 9 workers for a total of 5 projects including ▲support for multicultural families ▲operation of foreign language classes at local children’s centers ▲operation of Wangsollbat community garden ▲creation and management of flower paths along the entrance road to Gujeolcho Park ▲creation and management of Janggeumi Garden.


Citizens wishing to participate in the regional community job project can apply at their local eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare centers by the 15th.


Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “We expect the job project to contribute to stabilizing the livelihoods of unemployed and vulnerable groups facing economic difficulties,” adding, “We will continue to discover and expand productive jobs that can contribute to the livelihood stabilization of economically disadvantaged vulnerable groups.”
