Assemblyman So Byeong-cheol's 'Legislative Report Meeting' Successfully Concluded

So Byeong-cheol, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea representing Suncheon·Gwangyang·Gokseong·Gurye (Gap), held the ‘21st National Assembly’s Final Legislative Report Meeting’ on the 5th at the Suncheonman Ecological Culture Education Center.

The legislative report meeting was successfully held with the attendance of about 1,500 citizens.

The meeting was conducted in a restrained atmosphere considering the attack on party leader Lee Jae-myung, and all attendees united their hearts to wish for Lee’s speedy recovery.

For the ‘Legislative Report Meeting’ that day, the Democratic Party’s floor leader Hong Ik-pyo and other party leaders, along with fellow lawmakers, delivered video congratulatory messages, unanimously recognizing So’s abilities and achievements in the 21st National Assembly, calling him the “Bull Worker So Byeong-cheol.”

Additionally, Jeong Cheong-rae, a Supreme Council member of the Democratic Party who attended the meeting, said, “So Byeong-cheol is a lawmaker recognized even in the National Assembly and a necessary worker for Suncheon,” conveying a hopeful message that “Suncheon’s future looks bright.”

At the legislative report meeting, So shared his achievements, including healing past wounds through the enactment of the ‘Yeosu-Suncheon Incident Special Act,’ which demonstrated legislative activities comparable to those of senior lawmakers despite being a first-term member; the enactment of the ‘Suncheonman Garden Expo Act’ and securing sufficient budget and personnel support for the expo’s success and the foundation for attracting the world-class ‘Suncheon Garden Expo’; attracting an animation cluster and laying the groundwork for the revival of the old downtown area; and accomplishments such as the construction of the Advanced Engineering Building and the selection of Suncheon National University as a Glocal University.

He then presented the vision of the Grand Master Plan for Suncheon’s development, aiming to host the world-class ‘Garden Expo’ led by the nation in 2033, the third of its kind in Korea’s history, and to develop and advance Suncheon as the center of the South Coast region’s economy, tourism, creative, and sports industries, creating a soaring Suncheon.

To this end, So has already proposed the ‘South Coast Region Development and Advancement Special Act’ to open a great era for the South Coast.

So concluded the report meeting by explaining the “Soaring Suncheon Grand Master Plan Phase 4,” the development strategy for Suncheon, saying, “Citizens who think of me as a competent bull worker and a clean politician can take pride.”

At the end of the ‘Legislative Report Meeting,’ during the Q&A session, So received plaques of appreciation from the TriMaze Residents’ Representative Association and veterans’ organizations.
