"I will do my best to become a fire station trusted by the citizens"
On the 2nd, the Jindo Fire Station in Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that Park Cheon-jo, former head of the Jeonnam Fire Academy, was inaugurated as the 2nd Chief of Jindo Fire Station.
Chief Park Cheon-jo, a native of Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, was first appointed in 1991 and has served for 33 years. He has held key positions such as Head of the Response and Rescue Division at Yeosu Fire Station, Head of the Fire Administration Division at Hwasun Fire Station, and Head of the Jeonnam Fire Academy before being inaugurated as Chief of Jindo Fire Station on the 1st.
Chief Park is a veteran firefighter with extensive experience in both field and administrative duties. He is known for his outstanding execution skills, planning ability, and on-site command capabilities, earning strong trust from staff through his rational leadership.
Chief Park stated, “I will strengthen cohesion through mutual respect and communication among staff. I will do my best to make our firefighters strong on the field and establish a systematic response system so that the fire station is trusted by the residents.”
Meanwhile, immediately after the inauguration ceremony, Chief Park visited the memorial altar at Paengmok Port in Imhoe-myeon, Jindo-gun, to pay tribute to the victims of the Sewol ferry disaster.
