9403 Express Bus Converted to 422 Main City Bus to Reduce Public Transport Costs
Service Starts February 5, Adult Fare 1,500 KRW with Transportation Card

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has reorganized the metropolitan bus route 9403 into the trunk bus route 422 to alleviate the burden of public transportation costs.
Route 9403 is a seat bus passing through the Junggok-dong area. Despite stopping at Junggok-dong, a bus discontinuity section, the fare was higher than that of regular city buses, resulting in low usage.
Accordingly, after continuous consultations with Seoul City, the district converted route 9403 into a trunk city bus. It will start operating as route 422 from the first bus on February 5.
The fare has been reduced by half. Based on transportation cards, adults can use it for 1,500 KRW, youths for 900 KRW, and children for 550 KRW. Previously, the fare was 3,000 KRW (for adults), but now, with the same fare as city buses, the transportation cost burden on residents is expected to decrease.
The route has also been partially changed. It has been adjusted to stop at Migeum Station on the Shinbundang Line and Seongnam Station (GTX-A) to enhance transfer convenience. The route starts from Gumi-dong, Seongnam City, passing through Songpa-gu and Gwangjin-gu.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We converted route 9403 into a trunk bus to relieve residents' burdens caused by last year's Seoul city bus fare increase,” adding, “We will continue to pursue various measures to improve the convenience of public transportation usage.”
