Dong-Eui Institute of Technology held the ‘2023 DIT Student Autonomous Creative Competency Competition Awards Ceremony’ on campus on December 27.

Organized by the Competency Education Innovation Team, this competition aimed to raise awareness about environmental issues through topics related to the E in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) amid various emerging environmental problems. It was an autonomous educational activity program where participating students planned and executed projects on their own to creatively approach environmental issues with ease.
A total of 24 teams submitted their works (videos), and through judging, 8 teams were finally selected: 1 Grand Prize, 1 Gold Prize, 2 Silver Prizes, 3 Bronze Prizes, and 1 Encouragement Prize.
The Grand Prize was awarded to the Nursing Department team named Anbeorillaeyo (Seo Hyewon, Gu Serin, work titled Environmental Crime Prevention Squad). They created a video promoting the convenience of tumbler bags to increase the use of tumblers, which are gradually disappearing, as a way to reduce disposable products. They also pledged to continue living a lifestyle that encourages tumbler use by using the tumbler bags even after the competition.
Additionally, the following teams received awards: ▲ Emergency Medical Services Department’s Manner Ondo Nopjo team (Gold Prize) ▲ Chemical Engineering Department’s Job Seeker S2 team (Silver Prize) ▲ Online Shopping Mall Department’s ‘Ussha’ team (Silver Prize) ▲ Nursing Department’s ‘Sosimjaengi’ team (Bronze Prize) ▲ Emergency Medical Services Department’s ‘Naneun Jukyeojo’ team (Bronze Prize) ▲ Smart Cosmetics Department’s ‘Jiguya! Annyeong?’ team (Bronze Prize) ▲ Online Shopping Mall Department’s ‘Akija’ team (Encouragement Prize).
Kim Youngdo, President of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, “This competition was very meaningful as students themselves designed and carried out the projects, allowing them to develop necessary job competencies and problem-solving skills.”
