Gwangju Buk-gu, Full-Scale Operation of Village Autonomy Urban Regeneration Center

Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is officially launching the ‘Village Autonomy Urban Regeneration Center,’ which integrates and strengthens the functions of village autonomy and urban regeneration.

On the afternoon of the 2nd, the district will hold an opening ceremony for the Village Autonomy Urban Regeneration Center at the Buk-gu Happiness Harmony Center under the theme “United as One, Starting Anew.”

The opening ceremony, held concurrently with the ‘Village Community Performance Sharing Meeting,’ will be attended by about 100 guests including village community members and related organization officials, featuring congratulatory performances, a plaque lighting ceremony, and a vision proclamation ceremony.

The Village Autonomy Urban Regeneration Center is an intermediate support organization established by the district as a corporation to combine the closely related functions of village autonomy and urban regeneration support into one organization, aiming to create synergy effects among mutually supportive projects.

The center is composed of three teams: the Operation Support Team, the Village Autonomy Team, and the Urban Regeneration Team, and will carry out tasks related to supporting and revitalizing resident autonomy, village communities, and urban regeneration.
