Yoon Emphasizes the People as the Center of All State Affairs
On the 1st, the People Power Party stated regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol's New Year's address, "We will do our best to implement practical livelihood policies and create a vibrant economy together with the Yoon Seok-yeol administration."
Park Jeong-ha, the chief spokesperson of the People Power Party, said in an oral comment on the New Year's address that "President Yoon presented the direction of state administration for this year through his address to the nation," adding, "He repeatedly emphasized that the government will act for a 'Korea that leaps forward again' and devote all efforts to the livelihood and economy."

Spokesperson Park emphasized, "We will listen to the voices from the field and implement practical livelihood policies that change the lives of the people." He added, "The center of all state affairs is the people," and said, "For a 'new year where livelihoods leap forward,' the People Power Party will take the lead in change and prepare a better tomorrow for us."
Earlier, Spokesperson Park said, "After the eventful year of 2023, in the Year of the Blue Dragon that will leap with new hope, I pray that Korea will become a nation of unity and harmony, and the People Power Party will take the lead in change and move forward for the future," adding, "We will respond to those expectations with sincere reform and innovation, focusing solely on the people."
He continued, "We will heed the solemn public mandate to eliminate the privileged politics of the activist faction and firmly establish 'fairness' and 'justice,'" and said, "For the livelihood of the people, for a vibrant economy, and for strong security, we will become a source of strength to the people through practical policies."
Meanwhile, President Yoon said in his New Year's address, "The center of all state affairs is the people," and "We will not be a government that only reviews issues but a government that acts to solve problems." In particular, President Yoon announced that for reforms for the people, "We will definitely break up the factional cartels based on their own vested interests and ideologies," emphasizing, "Without fighting the corrupt factional cartels, genuine reforms for the people are impossible." Marking the third year of his administration, he pledged to accelerate the three major structural reforms in labor, education, and pensions, and to strengthen security capabilities based on diplomatic achievements so far to thoroughly respond to the North Korean nuclear threat and supply chain crises.
