Ryugyeonggi Jungnang-gu Mayor Holds Energetic 2024 New Year's Sunrise Event

Jungnang-gu (District Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held the '2024 Sunrise Event' at Yongmasan 5th Fortress and energetically welcomed the new year of Gapjin with residents.

The sunrise event, held at Yongmasan 5th Fortress at 7 a.m. on January 1st, the first day of the new year, was attended by about 300 residents gathered to start a hopeful new year, including Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu.

Various congratulatory performances such as vocal music and traditional Korean music were prepared with messages wishing that Jungnang-gu residents can spend this year healthily and happily without worries.

In addition, programs such as traditional game experiences, a photo booth with a Blue Dragon mascot, and wish paper writing experiences were also prepared to add enjoyment.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “The year of the Blue Dragon, the guardian of the East, has begun vigorously. I hope the energy of the Blue Dragon will be fully conveyed to Jungnang-gu, the gateway city of eastern Seoul, and to its residents, making this year full of only good things.” He added, “In the year of Gapjin, I will do my best for the development of Jungnang-gu and the happiness of its residents.”
