The international relief and development NGO Good People (Chairman Kim Cheon-su) announced on the 29th that it will support the "Love Hope Box," containing 17 types of groceries, in collaboration with K-Water Tech (CEO Park Tae-hyun) to help the underprivileged in Daejeon.

The delivery ceremony held on the 28th at the Good People Building in Mok-dong, Seoul, was attended by Good People’s Vice Chairman of Operations Lee Jong-seon, Headquarters Director Jeon Ho-cheol, K-Water Tech CEO Park Tae-hyun, and Management Director Jeon Seong-cheol.

The "Love Hope Box" is Good People’s flagship project that provides daily necessities and groceries to underprivileged groups both domestically and internationally. Since 2012, Love Hope Boxes worth 26.3 billion KRW have been delivered to 284,000 people, including low-income families and multicultural households.

Good People and K-Water Tech prepared 150 Love Hope Boxes filled with groceries to assist neighbors facing difficulties, such as low-income families and elderly living alone in Daejeon.

K-Water Tech, a subsidiary of Korea Water Resources Corporation, is a specialized public enterprise responsible for inspection and maintenance of national infrastructure such as metropolitan waterworks, dams, and power generation facilities, located in Dunsan-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon. Notably, in May, it declared its ESG management activities and has been conducting various social contribution activities to help vulnerable groups.

The Love Hope Boxes, supported with a total value of 15 million KRW, contain 17 types of groceries frequently used at home, including gochujang (red chili paste), doenjang (soybean paste), cooking oil, and sesame oil.

Park Tae-hyun, CEO of K-Water Tech, said, “We are pleased to deliver hope to neighbors by offering a small token of care to vulnerable and marginalized groups during the year-end and New Year season.” He added, “We will continue to build a cooperative system with our parent company, Korea Water Resources Corporation, to fulfill our social responsibilities and do our best to practice ESG management.”

Kim Cheon-su, Chairman of Good People, expressed gratitude to K-Water Tech for extending a helping hand to neighbors struggling with their livelihoods, saying, “Good People will continue to spread positive influence together with companies leading the way in sharing.”

Meanwhile, Good People is conducting a water and sanitation project to build sanitation facilities to provide clean water and hygienic environments to vulnerable groups in Malaysia, in partnership with Korea Water Resources Corporation, the parent company of K-Water Tech.

In September, 39 executives and employees gathered to represent Korea Water Resources Corporation and participated in social contribution volunteer activities in Malaysia.
