A woman in her 20s, identified as A, who is accused of threatening the late actor Lee Seon-gyun and extorting 50 million won, has been detained by the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency.
On the 28th, the Narcotics Crime Investigation Division of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency arrested A on charges of extortion.
Lee Gyu-hoon, the chief judge in charge of warrants at the Incheon District Court, conducted a pre-arrest detention hearing for A in the afternoon and issued the warrant, stating there was a risk of flight or evidence destruction.
On the day of the hearing, A appeared holding her young child but did not respond to reporters' questions asking if she admitted to threatening Lee.
Previously, Lee Seon-gyun filed a complaint accusing A and B, a female manager at a nightlife establishment, of extorting 350 million won by threatening him with drug use allegations. It is reported that Lee gave 50 million won to A and 300 million won to B.
A has a prior conviction for fraud and is known to have met B while in prison.
When a pre-arrest warrant was requested, A did not appear at the detention hearing on the 26th. After police located her, she was arrested on the 27th.
