Under the title "Strong Democratic Party, a National Assembly member Shin Jeong-hoon who delivers," this Hwasun constituency report meeting was a time to review the legislative activities of the first half of the 21st National Assembly. In particular, it examined the seven major achievements of Hwasun's development that Assemblyman Shin has promoted over the past four years and also reviewed ongoing projects and current issues in Hwasun.

It is reported that this constituency report meeting was hastily organized due to the earnest requests of Hwasun residents and Assemblyman Shin Jeong-hoon's desire to start and end the 21st National Assembly together with the people of Hwasun.

On December 17, 2019, ahead of the official election campaign as a preliminary candidate for the 21st National Assembly, he experienced a job shadowing at the Hwasun Mining Site located in Dong-myeon, working with laborers in the underground mine, stating, "Politics must begin by giving hope to the most vulnerable people," and pledged, "I will pursue warm politics that gives hope to local residents."

Before the first constituency report meeting, Assemblyman Shin met with the Dong-myeon Closed Mine Countermeasure Committee, who were staging a sit-in protest inside the Hwasun Mining Site. The committee is currently protesting against filling the Hwasun Mining Site tunnels with water. He had an honest conversation with the protesting members and promised to appoint responsible parties and establish a reporting system regarding the current issue.

The constituency report meeting was graced by the presence of Ha Seong-dong, Chairperson of the Hwasun County Council, along with council members Jeong Yeon-ji, Kang Jae-hong, Oh Hyeong-ryeol, Ryu Jong-ok, former Jeonnam Provincial Assembly member Moon Haeng-ju, former vice-chairman of the county council Yoon Young-min, Sapyeong-myeon Prosperity Association President Jang Tae-su, and Hwasun County Archery Association President Moon Kyung-jo.

Starting with a pre-event performance by the Naju-Hwasun club "Music Dance Janggu" team, the constituency report meeting lasted about 60 minutes. The residents showed particular interest in the "Amendment to the Special Act on Support for Closed Mine Areas," the "Grain Management Act" rejected by President Yoon Seok-yeol, and the "Special Act on Energy Industry Convergence Complex." The amendment to the Special Act on Support for Closed Mine Areas, which Assemblyman Shin sponsored, was the first promise made to the residents.

Assemblyman Shin Jeong-hoon said, "I deeply thank the farmers, fishermen, and miners who have built the Republic of Korea as it is today. We must honor them and simultaneously create future sources of income to revitalize the region," adding, "Hwasun is the only region in the country with a full-cycle infrastructure related to vaccines. We must unite our strength and create hope with our autonomous capabilities."

The legislative achievements Assemblyman Shin accomplished in this National Assembly include ▲sponsoring the amendment to the Special Act on Support for Closed Mine Areas ▲sponsoring the amendment to the Grain Management Act ▲sponsoring the Special Act on Korea Energy University ▲sponsoring the amendment to the Agricultural and Fishery Chamber Act ▲sponsoring the High-ranking Public Officials Real Estate Blind Trust Act ▲sponsoring the Special Act on Energy Industry Convergence Complex ▲and sponsoring the amendment to the Act on Fostering and Supporting the Fruit Industry.

Additionally, the "Seven Major Achievements for a Prosperous Hwasun" include ▲selection of the Hwasun Mining Site Economic Promotion Project for the preliminary feasibility study by the Ministry of Economy and Finance ▲selection of the Global Bio Workforce Training Campus by the International Health Organization ▲opening of the Hwasun County Youth Training Center and the children's theme park "Kids Lala" ▲opening of the Jeonnam National University Medical School Hwasun Campus Education Complex Building ▲hosting a forum on the National Advanced Medical Complex ▲securing 4.3 billion KRW in special grants from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety for 2023 ▲and the planned construction of three bio-health facilities in 2024 (Bio-Health Convergence Knowledge Industry Center, Open Medical Innovation Center, Bio Guest House).

Meanwhile, Assemblyman Shin will hold a book launch event on January 7, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Naju Sports Park Indoor Gymnasium. Under the theme "The Path Shin Jeong-hoon Walked, The Future to Open ? Finding Korea's Future from the Provinces," he will hold a book talk with citizens who share a special bond. Former and current lawmakers including Kang Deuk-gu, Kim Doo-kwan, and Kim Ui-gyeom are expected to attend and celebrate.
