BNK Gyeongnam Bank Supports Vulnerable Local Groups with 10 Million Won to Help Children

BNK Gyeongnam Bank and NC Dinos have joined forces to help children from vulnerable groups in the region.

On the 27th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced that it donated the ‘NC Dinos Team Record-Linked Home Run Zone and Stolen Base Accumulation Fund’ to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation.

The donation ceremony held at the headquarters was attended by BNK Gyeongnam Bank Executive Director Lim Jae-moon, Manager Choi Dae-sik, NC Dinos player Kim Young-gyu, and Acting Director Cha Eun-hwa of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, among other officials.

The accumulation fund of 10 million KRW was raised during the 2023 KBO League regular season through stolen bases and home runs by NC Dinos players such as Son Ah-seop, Park Min-woo, Kim Joo-won, and Martin.

The fund donated by BNK Gyeongnam Bank will be used to support children from vulnerable groups in the region through the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Gyeongnam Headquarters.

Executive Director Lim said, “It is meaningful that the accumulation fund raised through the efforts of NC Dinos players will be used to help children from vulnerable groups in the region. We look forward to the continued success of NC Dinos, the local professional baseball team, in 2024. BNK Gyeongnam Bank and NC Dinos will continue to collaborate and promote various social contribution projects.”

NC Dinos player Kim Young-gyu said, “I am glad to participate in this meaningful donation ceremony again this year following last year. I hope to share more love with more people through better performance next year.”

Meanwhile, prior to the NC Dinos Team Record-Linked Home Run Zone and Stolen Base Accumulation Fund, BNK Gyeongnam Bank donated a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the ‘BNK Withus Free Savings Account’ to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation on the 13th.

The donation of 15 million KRW was used as project funds for the ‘Changwon Citizens’ Love Sharing Multi-Child Family Support’ program.
