Received 'Hope Sharing Campaign 100 Billion Club' Plaque
Lotte announced on the 27th that it donated 7 billion KRW to the Community Chest of Korea's "Hope 2024 Sharing Campaign" in celebration of the year-end. The donation will be used to help local neighbors facing economic difficulties, such as low-income youth and small business owners struggling due to the economic crisis. It will also be used for care and education for people with disabilities and low-income groups.
Since 1999, Lotte has been donating to the Community Chest of Korea every year. The cumulative donation amount has reached 111.8 billion KRW as of this year, marking the 25th year of giving. Last year, Lotte received the "Hope Sharing Campaign 100 Billion Club" plaque, awarded to corporate major donors who have made long-term efforts.
In February this year, Lotte participated in donations for disaster recovery efforts including the T?rkiye earthquake, the Gangneung wildfire in April, and the heavy rains in July. In addition, Lotte continues its sharing activities by operating projects such as the "Mom Comfortable Playground" initiative to improve children's play and educational environments, and the "Youth Bookstore" military library support project for soldiers.
Lee Gap, Head of Communications at Lotte Holdings, said, "We will continue to strive to fulfill our social responsibilities as a company by helping neighbors in need amid economic difficulties through ongoing social contribution activities."
