With this, Namdong-gu has obtained re-certification four consecutive times since its first certification in 2015, continuing its reputation as a family-friendly institution until 2026.
The Family-Friendly Certification is a system in which the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family grants certification through document and on-site evaluations to companies and public institutions that exemplary operate family-friendly systems such as support for childbirth and child-rearing, flexible working hours, and the creation of a family-friendly workplace culture.
Namdong-gu was recognized as an excellent institution by receiving the highest scores in areas such as support for childbirth and child-rearing, including the utilization rate of parental leave and reduced working hours during childcare periods, support for workers and dependents, and the creation of a family-friendly workplace culture.
Park Jong-hyo, Mayor of Namdong-gu, said, "Family-friendly management not only increases employees' job satisfaction but also connects to work performance, greatly influencing the improvement of public administrative services." He added, "We will continue to make Namdong-gu a place where everyone can work happily in a harmonious balance between work and family."
