Regularization of Child Abuse Response Information Coordination Council, Expansion of Full Survey Target to Age 5, and High Praise for AI Child Drawing Psychological Test Service
Amid a steady increase in child abuse cases, Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has attracted attention by being selected as an excellent local government in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 'Evaluation of Public Response System Operation for Child Abuse' and receiving the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.
The 'Evaluation of Public Response System Operation for Child Abuse,' conducted nationwide among local governments, assesses efforts to prevent and stop child abuse, including the establishment of response systems involving local governments, police, and child protection agencies.
The evaluation criteria include ▲assignment of dedicated child abuse officers ▲operation of the e-Child Happiness Support Project ▲operation of the immediate separation system ▲expansion of infrastructure for separating and protecting abused children ▲utilization of dedicated medical institutions for child abuse ▲child abuse prevention and publicity, and cooperation with related organizations.
In this evaluation, the district was highly praised for actively promoting various child abuse prevention projects such as ▲regularization of the child abuse response information linkage council ▲expansion of the age range for full surveys (from age 3 to ages 3?5) ▲AI child drawing psychological test service ▲child abuse prevention campaigns.
Mayor Park Jun-hee said, "As the saying goes, ‘It takes a whole village to raise a child,’ community interest in child protection is essential. Taking this evaluation as an opportunity, we will do our best to firmly and continuously maintain the public response system for child abuse and create the safest and happiest city for children."
