Woojine is expanding its product lineup of essential equipment to ensure the safety of nuclear power plants by supplying CVAP measuring instruments and data processing devices for Shin Hanul Unit 3.
On the 26th, Woojin announced that it signed a supply contract with Doosan Enerbility for the development of CVAP (Comprehensive Vibration Assessment Program) measuring instruments and data processing devices for Shin Hanul Unit 3. The contract is valued at approximately 6.5 billion KRW and is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2030.
CVAP is an essential evaluation program that verifies the integrity of reactor internal structures against flow-induced vibrations. The CVAP measuring instruments and data processing devices supplied by Woojin will be applied to confirm the structural integrity and secure the safety margin of Shin Hanul Unit 3, which uses the Korean-designed advanced reactor APR-1400.
A company official stated, “We are developing and supplying various precision measuring instruments and related programs suitable for next-generation nuclear power plants, including our flagship product, in-core nuclear instrumentation (ICI). Based on our technological expertise and supply references in precision nuclear power plant instrumentation, we will advance as a global specialized company in nuclear power plant measuring instruments.”
Meanwhile, Woojin’s subsidiary Woojin Entech is scheduled to be listed on the KOSDAQ market early next year. Woojin Entech, which operates in maintenance of instrumentation and control equipment for nuclear and thermal power plants and diagnostic services for power plant facilities, submitted its securities registration statement for listing on the 18th. The subscription for the public offering will be held over two days starting January 16, 2024.
